Word Mail Merge Automation

We need to convert the attached list of Categorized HyperLinks to multiple Word Documents (Contained within [login to view URL]) to include updateable check boxes and 2 Submit Buttons (Preview and Print) within a Word VBA project. Clicking the check box or boxes will enable selection of one or more Word Docs from this list which will then be Mail Merged in Word and presented for Preview or Printing within Word. After Preview end user will then Print to the selected Network Printer or Printer Driver as a consecutive batch using File-> Print manually. The entry point for this application MUST be named [login to view URL] and it should maintain the look and feel of the current [login to view URL] with the addition of Individual Check Boxes for each Word Doc and a Category Check Box next to each Black Highlighted Category Title which will enable all the check boxes within that category. Two Submit Buttons should be included: <<Merge & Print>> and <<Merge & Preview>> at the bottom of the Indexed List of Hyper-Links which will launch the new function to Mail Merge ALL the selected Documents against ALL the records in the TXT Data Source. This list of Hyperlinks will be maintained manually within the Word Doc itself ([login to view URL]) using standard Word off-the-shelf right-clicking on Hyper-Links to the "Edit HyperLink" choice. Checking the Document Category should select the entire list of Word Docs within that category and then submit them all sequentially for Word Mail Merge using the included TXT based data source containing 500 tab-delimited data elements which has also been attached. ([login to view URL]) A few of the 100 sample application Word DOCS already enabled for Mail Merge to this Data Source have also been attached as well. This must work for Word XP as well as for Word 200X since we have a mix of users. This client app must run on workstations running either Windows 98, Windows XP Home Version, Windows 2000, or Windows 2000 Professional. We would prefer to limit the bidders to qualified consultants using Visual Basic or VBA and a TXT Data Source. The pick list of Word Documents Organized by Category must reside in the [login to view URL] via Hyper-Links to the actual Word Document. There must be a function/method to enable users to do Maintenance on the Category Headings with insertion of a live checkbox to the left of the user input name of the Category Heading. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form where applicable, as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Installation package that will install the software (in ready-to-run condition) on the platform(s) specified in this bid request if applicable. 3) Complete ownership and distribution copyrights to all work purchased. Note: Maintenance Functions include Add New Heading, Change Name of Heading and Manual or Automated Deletion of a Heading and Manual deletion of Hyperlinks associated with that Category Heading. ## Platform Word for Windows XP and Word for Windows 2000 using VB, or VBA for Access 2000. ## Deadline information Prior experience with Word for Windows Automation, and VB and/or VBA for Word or Access must be delivered for evaluation or demonstrated in some other satisfactory fashion. Qualified bidders only will be considered. Proficiency in the written English language must also be satisfactory and shall be demonstrated in a sample response or written communication.
