Project Overview:
We are in the final stages of migrating our online shop to Shopware 6 and require a skilled tester to conduct a thorough Quality Assurance (QA) check of the new platform. Our migration process involved significant customization and programming adjustments to fit our business needs. As such, we are looking for a detail-oriented QA specialist who can meticulously test our website across various devices, focusing particularly on mobile and tablet interfaces.
Objectives:
Functionality Testing: Ensure all features work as intended without errors. This includes, but is not limited to, navigation buttons, checkout processes, form submissions, and any custom features we've implemented.
Design and Responsiveness Testing: Evaluate the design on different devices and screen sizes to ensure that it's visually appealing and functional. Special attention should be paid to mobile and tablet views to ensure a seamless shopping experience across all devices.
SEO Compliance Testing: Identify any code or design elements that could potentially harm our site's SEO ranking. This includes checking for broken links, improper use of tags, and ensuring all redirects are correctly implemented.
Cross-browser Compatibility: Verify that the website performs consistently across various web browsers on desktop, mobile, and tablet platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct an exhaustive review of the website to identify bugs, glitches, or any elements that do not function as planned.
Test the website’s responsive design across multiple devices (smartphones, tablets) and browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, etc.) to ensure optimal performance and user experience.
Provide a detailed report of findings, including screenshots or video recordings of any issues encountered, along with recommendations for improvements.
Work closely with our development team to explain the nature of issues found and verify fixes.
Ideal Candidate:
Has extensive experience in website testing and quality assurance, specifically with e-commerce platforms like Shopware 6.
Possesses a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of user experience best practices, especially for mobile and tablet devices.
Is familiar with SEO principles and can identify potential issues affecting search engine visibility.
Has the ability to communicate effectively in English, providing clear and concise feedback and reports.
Project Timeline:
The initial testing phase should be completed within 1 week from the project start date, with potential for follow-up tests after initial issues are addressed.
