Read Data from API ( JSON ) to Dropdown List ASP.NET VB.NET

Will create a page that contain some text boxes and dropdown list. I will populate data from API ( JSON ) file to this dropdown list and allow user to search by name or ID through popup modal This API use basic authentication with user name and password. The project will in be ( VB.NET )
