I would first summarize the data by quarters and year, and possibly month if needed. I would look for categories of expenses. I would track how the percentages change over time. The percentages will help me identify trends and areas to analyze. I would be interested in seeing the revenue as well, since some expenses will grow with revenue. In the case of marketing perhaps the expense growth will happen before the revenues increase. I would want to see what your budget was for that time period to understand if expenses were as expected.
