Need help setting up automated trading in TradeStation where a Buy(long) is placed after 1 bar closes above the Fast Moving Average trend line. If a trade is executed I want it to close the long trade at a certain percentage profit target (say, 5% for example). I would like a stop loss setup if any bar closes below the Fast Moving Average trend line. A similar setup for the Slow Moving Average where a Sell (Short) trade is placed after 1 bar closes below. I have a EA which I am using it is based on grid/martingale and runs on single moving average ( 50 ) I am using the EA on a specific pair with its set file. I don’t have the source code for the EA. EA works perfectly fine when markets are ranging or if I manually determine the trend. Issue comes when market suddenly reverses,EA doesn’t close entries and continues placing more entries which causes drawdown. The EA has many settings in the parameters,it also has upto 3 moving average but I don’t know how to optimize or fine tune so that I can solve my problem.
